In spring, interventions bloom.

Every spring, your garden awakens and requires specific and thorough maintenance. The first step is a general cleaning of the garden: removing leaves, turning over flower beds and vegetable gardens to ensure the soil gets air, light, and proper drainage. If needed, the lawn will also be aerated to eliminate the surface thatch, then reseeded and fertilized. Mowing should be done more frequently, keeping the cutting height higher to prevent the grass from burning. Irrigation should be activated with set days and times to ensure consistent watering. The plants should be fertilized and pruned to prepare them for the beautiful season. This is also the ideal time to transplant shrubs and carry out pest control treatments.

Lawn mowing

We recommend regular mowing of the lawn to prevent the development of diseases, reduce weeds, and promote the growth of new grass shoots. It’s better to mow frequently and not cut too low.

Fertilizations

It is necessary to regularly fertilize the soil to make it more resistant to fungal diseases, as well as greener and denser. Based on the analysis of the type of soil to be treated, the fertilizer will be spread dry in the doses specified by the maintenance plan.

Weeding

Selective, preventive, or post-emergence weeding must be carried out by qualified personnel authorized to use plant protection products. Furthermore, to limit the use of these chemicals, it is necessary to create a preliminary intervention plan.

Regenerations

On heavily used lawns, it is sometimes necessary to carry out regeneration interventions through overseeding, which means sowing seeds on the existing turf. This intervention should be done in spring or autumn. The soil should be loosened using a rake for small areas or suitable machinery for larger surfaces. The regeneration mix, consisting of different seed varieties, will be spread over the surface. Then, it will be covered with sand and compost, followed by rolling and subsequent irrigation.

Insecticides and fungicides

One of the basic tasks for maintaining your lawn and plants is protecting them from pests. The recommended treatments vary depending on the source of the problem. These treatments can be divided into broadleaf and narrowleaf categories. Weeds can be controlled by using a combination of chemical herbicides and cultivation practices, either in specific areas or across the entire lawn. Among the pests are also various species of fungi, which should be eradicated using fungicides.

Seasonal Planting

Seasonal plants, unlike evergreens, bloom during a single season, expressing their full vigor. They also produce many flowers, making them particularly suitable for decorating gardens and terraces. The term “seasonal plants” refers to annual plants that complete their flowering cycle in a specific season: spring plants bloom from February to April, summer plants from April to September/October, and autumn/winter plants from October to February.
